Mishti pulao is one such rice dish Its colour and sweet flavor are so tempting and inviting, This conventional bengali pulao is really very simple to make. Hardly takes any preparation and cooking time and tastes just perfect.

  • Basmati rice – 1 cup
  • 1 tsp ground Persian Saffron
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp.
  • Cinnamon – 1 one inch stick
  • Bay leaves – 2 nos.
  • 4-5 cardamoms
  • cashew pieces – ½ cup
  • Raisins – ½ cup
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1/2cup water to dilate pure saffron
  • 2 cups of water to cook rice
