So Good Roasted Corn Grits

- 2 cups water shopping list
- 2 cups heavy cream shopping list
- 1 cup yellow grits shopping list
- 1/2 pound butter shopping list
- 1/2 tablespoon salt (adjust to taste) shopping list
- dash pepper shopping list
- 1 to 2 ears fresh roasted corn, kernels removed(you can do this on a grill or in the oven) shopping list
- sliced green onions(about 2 teaspoons) shopping list
How to make it
- Directions
- In Medium pot, bring water and cream to a boil.
- Stir in grits and lower heat to low/med.
- Add butter and cook at a low simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes or until thickened and creamy.
- Add corn and green onions. ( I sometimes roast my corn kernels on the stove in a pan)
- *If using quick cook golden grits, adjust time needed to cook.
- These go well with fried or grilled fish, chicken, pork or turkey! Yummy!
