How to make it
- Slice the tomatoes 1/2 inch thick.
- Mix the flour, bread crumbs, salt/pepper/spices into a shallow bowl (a pie tin works well, too)
- Combine egg and milk into another shallow bowl.
- Dip both sides of the tomato into the dry mix.
- Then Dip into the wet mix.
- Dip one more time into the dry mix.
- Heat butter and oil in an skillet (cast-iron preferably)
- Fry tomatoes until golden brown on both sides.
