How to make it

  • Cream butter and sugar until fluffy then add yolks and vanilla then beat well.
  • Heat chocolate and water then stir until smooth and add to cream mixture.
  • Sift dry ingredients then add to cream mixture alternately with milk.
  • Begin and end with dry ingredients.
  • Beat whites until stiff then fold in batter.
  • Place in a greased and floured round cake pan.
  • Bake in a preheated 350 oven for 35 minutes.
  • When cake is cooled, cut carefully into 3 layers.
  • Combine flour, sugar and salt.
  • Gradually stir in milk and cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thickened.
  • Cook 2 more minutes.
  • Stir a little of the hot mixture into the egg yolks and return to pan and cook 1 minute more.
  • Do not boil.
  • Add vanilla and cool completely then spread between layers.
  • To make frosting cream butter and 1/3 of the sugar then beat well.
  • Add all remaining ingredients except sugar then beat until smooth.
  • Gradually add remaining sugar and beat until smooth.
  • Spread on top and sides of cake then refrigerate until ready to serve.

    OK, Uncle. I give up. This cake, OMG you can almost taste it as you read through the Ingredients. You know you're in trouble when Ingredients make you drool lol.
