How to make it

  • Add soda to molasses and stir in boiling water
  • Mix flour with baking powder and salt
  • stir into molasses
  • Toss berries in a little flour and add to batter
  • Pour into greased 1 quart mold
  • Cover top with greased paper
  • Make a pleat in the paper in the center and then lay over pudding tie onto mold
  • Pleat allows the pudding to expand if need be
  • Steam 1/2-2 hours
  • Sauce
  • Combine all in a saucepan cook on low
  • Pour over pudding when serving
