Whole Wheat Oatmeal Cookies With Chocolate Covered Raisins Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter or butter crisco

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup Sucanat sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla

1 cup whole wheat flour and 1/2 cup all purpose flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. salt

3 cups old fashioned oats

1 cup chocolate covered raisins

Directions

Heat oven to 350*

Beat together butter and sugars until creamy.

Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.

Add combined flour, baking soday cinnamon and salt; mix well

Stir in oats and chocolate covered raisins.

Drop by rounded TBS. onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 10 to 12 min.

I've never used sucanat sugar, but my sister loves it. Where do you get it? I think she has to special order hers, as there's not a lot a specialty items available in WY! Maybe that's the only way to buy it?

Sucanat is really cool. It kinda looks like brown sugar but has a grainy consistency. I got it at Fred Meyers,in the health food section. Im sure you can find it in that big city of yours!! ~M
