How to make it

  • Heat oven to 350*
  • Beat together butter and sugars until creamy.
  • Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  • Add combined flour, baking soday cinnamon and salt; mix well
  • Stir in oats and chocolate covered raisins.
  • Drop by rounded TBS. onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 10 to 12 min.

    Ive never seen that kind of sugar either..... I bet my little town doesnt have it......

    Sucanat is really cool. It kinda looks like brown sugar but has a grainy consistency. I got it at Fred Meyers,in the health food section. Im sure you can find it in that big city of yours!! ~M

    I've never used sucanat sugar, but my sister loves it. Where do you get it? I think she has to special order hers, as there's not a lot a specialty items available in WY! Maybe that's the only way to buy it?
