Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine milk, sugar, and cinnamon stick. Heat to boiling, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and continue cooking, stirring constantly for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and cool to lukewarm, stirring occasionally to prevent scum from forming. When cool, add almonds and beaten yolks. Return to heat and cook slowly until spoon is well coated and mixture is slightly thickened. Cool again, stirring frequently, until liquid falls to room temperature. Stir in brandy and store in refrigerator until ready to serve. Makes about 1 1/2 quarts.

Trish - this sounds wonderful and I love homemade eggnog. The commercial stuff leaves a nasty taste in my mouth plus I can't control the sugar in it. Can't wait to try this out.
    Thanks again!
