Mulled Holiday Pancake Syrup

- 2 cups granulated sugar shopping list
- 2 lbs brown sugar shopping list
- 4 cups water shopping list
- 1 heaping Tablespoonful of a good mulling spice shopping list
- 2 tsp maple extract shopping list
- 1/2 tsp almond extract shopping list
How to make it
- In a large pan place the two sugars and water. Place the mulling spice in a tea infuser and place in pan with sugar and water.
- Heat until there is a slow rolling boil and continue on low for about 15 minutes so that the spices can infuse.
- Add the maple and almond extracts now, stir completely and turn off heat.
- Remove infuser and place syrup into canning jars. I do a hot water bath then so I can can and store or give as gifts. Or you can just place in refrigerator and it will keep for several months there if it lasts that long.
- This recipe makes 4 pints.
