Sizzling Sesame Beef

- 1 beef sirloin or rib-eye steak,1" thick 91lb) shopping list
- 1 c short grain or jasmine rice shopping list
- 2 green onions,white portions cut in 2" chunks,green portions thinly sliced shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic.crushed with press. shopping list
- 4 Tbs Asian sesame oil shopping list
- 2 tsp sugar shopping list
- 2 Tbs soy sauce shopping list
- 1lb broccoli florets shopping list
How to make it
- Place steak in freezer. Prepare rice as label directs. Meanwhile,in large bowl combine 1 Tbs sliced green onions,1 tsp. garlic,2 tsp. oil and 1/4 tsp salt;set aside.
- Cut cold steak acroos the grain into very thin slices;in shallow bowl,toss with sugar,1 Tbs soy sauce,green onion chunks and remaining garlic.
- In 12' skillet,heat 1" water to boiling on high. Add broccoli;cook 3 mins.or till just tender. Drain well;place in same bowl as onion-garlic mixture. Toss well. heat remaining oil in same skillet on high till hot. Add beef in single layer;cook 1 min.
- Stir in remaining sliced green onions and 1/8 tsp each salt and pepper;cook 1 min longer. Stir in remaining soy sauce. Serve with rice and broccoli.
