Apple Pie

I've been searching for an Apple Pie for quit some time.So I've asked my god mother if I could have an recipe on her Apple Pie.After having this pie two years ago that I knew I have to have it.So here's the recipe that I received yesterday along with two other recipes that I got along with the Christmas Card that I've received.
Ingredients
- For 9" Pie shopping list
- 3/4 to 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg shopping list
- 6 to 7 cups sliced pared apples shopping list
- 1 1/2 tbsp. butter shopping list
- For 8" Pie shopping list
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 3/4 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg shopping list
- 4 to 5 cups sliced pared apples shopping list
- 1 tbsp. butter shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 425 degres (hot).
- Mix sugar and cinnamon.Mix lightly through apples.Heap up in pastry-lined pie pan.Dot with butter.Cover with top crust which has slits cut in it.Seal and flute.Cover edge with 1 1/2" strip of aluminum foil to prevent excessive browning.
- Bake 50 to 60 min., or until crust is nicely browned and apples are cooked through (test with fork).Serve warm or cold... may be topped with cream, whipped cream or ice cream.Or serve with a slice of cheese.
