Jetts Almost Rotisserie Chicken Recipe

How to make it

  • Season the chicken inside & out with Lawry's Season Salt.
  • Place 1 liner in the crock pot
  • Place the foil balls in the bottom of the crock pot.
  • Set seasoned chicken on top of foil balls(this keeps juice away from the chicken)
  • Scatter the onion around the chicken
  • Put the lid on the crock pot and let this cook for 4 - 6 hours on HIGH
  • You will have a tender, moist chicken that you'll wonder why you didn't do this a long time ago!
  • Mmmmm yummy! Enjoy :)

    What an awesome idea! Can't wait to try this! We love the Rotisserie chickens in the Grocery Store but they really pour on the salt! This would be totally controllable.

    Ok, Jett....I made this today and it was excellent! I made recipe exactly as you said (except I probably didn't use enough Lawrys, and I added a smidge of smoked paprika-yum)-chicken was very moist & juicy and ever so tasty. Also, I used one of the Reynold's oven bags (for turkey) rather than crockpot liner (much cheaper-yay!!). Excellent recipe! Flinging another 5 your way!
