Delectable crisp cookie with great flavor. Orange and brandy, molasses and butter. Addictive, bet you can't eat just one!

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup of butter
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of dark molasses
  • 3/8 teaspoon of ginger
  • 3/4 teaspoon of grated orange rind
  • 3/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1 tablespoons best quality brandy

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to slow temp. (300 degrees)
  2. In a sauce pan melt the butter.
  3. Add sugars brown and white, molasses, ginger orange and cinnamon.
  4. Stir over low heat until thoroughly blended and the sugars are liquified.
  5. Off the heat, add the flour.
  6. Mix thoroughly with a wire whisk.
  7. Add the brandy.
  8. Drop by tablespoonfuls, several inches apart on an unbuttered cookie sheet.
  9. *the cookies will spread as they bake adn become thin and crisp.
  10. Put in the slow oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
  11. Watch carefully do not over brown.
  12. Let stand out of the oven for a minute, then carefully remove with a spatula to a flat surface to cool.
  13. Keep in a covered jar or cookie tin.
