Stumps Fried Cornmeal Mush

- 3 1/2c water-divided shopping list
- 1tsp salt shopping list
- 1 1/4c corn meal shopping list
How to make it
- Combine 2 1/2c water and salt in a small saucepan.
- Bring to boil.
- Mix corn meal with remaining water in a small bowl.
- Add corn meal mixture slowly to boiling water, stirring constantly.
- Reduce heat to low; cook stirring constantly for 5 minutes or until mixture is thickened.
- Pour into 8x4 or 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- Refridgerate for an hour or until set.
- Remove from pan and cut into 1/2" slices.
- Fry slices in greased skillet over medium heat 4 to 5 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
- Serve with syrup.
