How to make it

  • Brown up the Italian sausage (out of the casing and crumbled up) add the tomato sauce and paste, water & brown sugar. Let cook about 20 minutes
  • While the sauce is cooking mix up the ricotta with the egg and ¾ C of the shredded cheese. Add about ½ (maybe a little less) of the sauce. stir it up.
  • Now, take your sharp knife and slit one side if the manicotti noodle, spread some ricotta mixture on the noodle,fold and put cut side down in a baking dish. continue until all the noodles are used, Pour remaining sauce over the noodles add the rest of the cheese. Bake @350 degrees for 20 Minutes.
