Easy Mannicotti

This is the short cut method. If you like spinach, you can add the small box frozen spinach ( thawed, squeezed out) add to the ricotta mixture.Freezes well.
Ingredients
- 1 pkg sweet Italian sausage shopping list
- 1 Jar Prego or Classico spaghetti sauce shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- ¼ C water shopping list
- ½ Tblsp brown sugar shopping list
- 1 Container (15oz) Ricotta shopping list
- 3 C. Shredded Mozarella cheese shopping list
- 1 box manicotti noodles ( cooked al dente and drained) shopping list
How to make it
- Brown up the Italian sausage (out of the casing and crumbled up) add the tomato sauce and paste, water & brown sugar. Let cook about 20 minutes
- While the sauce is cooking mix up the ricotta with the egg and ¾ C of the shredded cheese. Add about ½ (maybe a little less) of the sauce. stir it up.
- Now, take your sharp knife and slit one side if the manicotti noodle, spread some ricotta mixture on the noodle,fold and put cut side down in a baking dish. continue until all the noodles are used, Pour remaining sauce over the noodles add the rest of the cheese. Bake @350 degrees for 20 Minutes.
