Ingredients

How to make it

  • Brown meat in a large skillet over medium-high heat. (I use a cast iron skillet).
  • Cook thoroughly and drain, return to skillet
  • Stir in garlic, add crushed red pepper, 1/2 t. salt and cook over medium-high heat for approximately 30 seconds, being careful not to burn garlic.
  • Place broken lasagna noodles into the skillet, pour in spagetti sauce and water over the top of the noodle and meat mixture.
  • Cover and cook, stirring often and adjusting heat as necessary to maintain a vigorous simmer, approximately 20 minutes.
  • Take the skillet off the heat and stir in half of the mozzarella and half of the parmesan cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Dot heaping tablespoons of ricotta over the noodles, then sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and parmesan.
  • Cover and let stand off heat until the cheeses melt. (5 min.)
