Stumps Gingerbread Men Recipe

Ingredients

How to make it

  • Mix well butter, brown sugar, and molasses.
  • Add water.
  • Sift together: flour, salt, allspice, cloves, and cinnamon.
  • Combine everything with baking soda mixed in 3T of cold water.
  • Roll out dough and cut with cookie cutters.
  • Place on cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes.
  • Decorate when cool.

    This recipe is very close to an old family recipe I have. We poked holes in the top, before baking, so they could be hung on the C'mas tree. I can post a photo of them to this recipe if you'd like.
