Apple Chiffon Cake

- 1/3 cup Puritan oil shopping list
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger shopping list
- 1 cup Finely chopped; peeled apples shopping list
- ---TOPPING--- shopping list
- 2 tbsp. sugar shopping list
- 2 tbsp. Finely chopped walnuts shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350`F.
- 2. FOR CAKE, combine oil and sugar in large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer.
- 3. Add eggs.
- 4. Beat well.
- 5. Combine next 6 ingredients.
- 6. Add to oil mixture.
- 7. Beat until just blended.
- 8. Stir in apples.
- 9. Spread evenly in ungreased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan. FOR TOPPING, combine sugar, nuts, and cinnamon.
- 10. Sprinkle over batter.
- 11. Bake at 350`F for 25 to 30 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
- 12. Cut into 3 x 2-1/4-inch rectangles.
- 13. Serve warm or at room temperature.
