How to make it

  • Banana Passover Sponge Cake preparation:
  • 1. Beat yolks with sugar until creamy.
  • 2. Add themashed bananas, beat well.
  • 3. Whip egg whites until stiff (in different bowl).
  • 4. Add cake meal, potato starch and salt to yolk mixture.
  • 5. Fold in egg whites into this mixture.
  • 6. Add flavoring fold in gently.
  • 7. Bake at 325 F. for an hour --more or less--.
  • 8. Use an angle food cake pan. Cool upside down for about 30 minutes or until cooled.
  • 9. Cut in half with knife.
  • 10. Ice with real whipped cream or cool whip.
  • 11. Top with bananas and a few walnuts

    This receipe is listed twice on this site. Same exact recipe. NOTE: In ingredients, it calls for 1 cup of chopped walnuts, but in steps 1-14, it states absolutely NOWHERE as to when it should be added. I added it to the egg yolk mixture. I am not Jewish, however, I do A LOT of Jewish baked goods for "friends".
