- 2 TINS asparagus SALAD CUTS (460G EACH) shopping list
- 500G SLICED ham, CHOPPED (IF TINNED ham IS USED, SLICE BEFORE CHOPPING) shopping list
- paprika shopping list
- CHEESE SAUCE: shopping list
- 650ML milk shopping list
- 130ML cake flour shopping list
- 250G GRATED cheddar cheese shopping list
- 5ML mustard powder shopping list
- salt AND pepper TO TASTE shopping list
How to make it
- DRAIN ASPARAGUS
- MIX WITH CHOPPED HAM AND PLACE MIXTURE IN AN OVENPROOF DISH
- CHEESE SAUDE:
- POUR MILK INTO SAUCEPAN, RESERVING APPROX200ML IN MEASURING JUG.
- ADD FLOUR, MUSTARD POWDER AND SALT AND PEPPER TO MILK IN JUG
- MIX WITH FORK UNTIL SMOOTH
- ADD GRATED CHEESE TO MILK IN SAUCEPAN AND HEAT GENLY (CHEESE WILL MELT)
- ADD FLOUR MIXTURE TO MILK IN SAUCEPAN, RAISE THE HEAT SLIGHTLY AND STIR CONTINUOUSLY UNTIL SAUCE IS THICK AND SMOOTH AND STARTS TO BOIL
- POUR SAUCE OVER ASPARAGUS AND HAM MIXTURE AND MIX
- GARNISH WITH PAPRIKA
- BAKE APPROX 30 MIN AT 180C
- SERVE WITH A MIXED SALAD AND CRUSTY ROLLS
