Scotch Eggs

- 2 lb. spicy breakfast sausage (Jimmy Dean) shopping list
- 6 hard-boiled eggs (peeled) shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 tbsp ground/rubbed sage shopping list
- 4 tbsp fresh minced chives shopping list
- 4 tbsp fresh chopped parsley shopping list
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard shopping list
- 5 cups fresh breadcrumbs from crustless French bread shopping list
- 1 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- vegetable oil (for deep frying) shopping list
How to make it
- Mix sausage, chives, sage, and parsley in medium bowl to blend
- Whisk egg and mustartd in bowl to blend
- Place flour in bowl, breadcrumbs in another bowl
- Roll hard-boiled egg in flour
- Using wet hands, press sausage mixture around egg (1/4-1/2" thick evenly around egg)
- Brush egg with mustard mixture, then roll in breadcrumbs covering completely and pressing to adhere, repeat with remaining eggs
- Deep fry until dark golden brown, serve halved with Dijon Mustard
