How to make it

  • Preheat the oven to 375; spray a cookie sheet with non-stick spray
  • Unroll the dough and press into 4 rectangles
  • Spread 1 tbsp mustard on top within ½ inch of the edges
  • Add ¼ cup sauerkraut (or onion) and 1 bratwurst
  • On the long sides of each rectangle, make 5 cuts at an angle and 1 inch apart almost to the egde
  • Braid the strips of dough over the bratwurst with the ends slightly overlapping
  • Brush with the egg wash and sprinkle with caraway seeds
  • Bake 15-20 minutes or until brown
  • Serve with extra mustard
