Ingredients
  • Dough:
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup sunflower oil
  • 1 stick unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup icing sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2-3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Filling:
  • 4 granny smith apples peeled and grated
  • 4 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup walnuts crumbled
  • 9 inch pie plate oiled

Directions
  1. Combine all the crust ingredients in a large bowl and divide in two.
  2. Wrap half in plastic wrap and chill in the freezer for 45 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile spread the other half in an oiled pie plate with your palm equally.
  4. Also spread the dough on top of the edges.
  5. Mix filling ingredients in a bowl then spread over the dough equally.
  6. Take the second half of the dough from the freezer and grate then gently arrange over the filling.
  7. Preheat oven to 375.
  8. Bake for 40 minutes or until the crust is light brown.
  9. Immediately sprinkle icing sugar on top using a small strainer after you take tart out of oven.
  10. Serve while still warm with ice cream on top.
