How to make it

  • Combine crumbs, melted butter; press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan.
  • Combine cream cheese and sugar, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in quark cheese or sour cream and vanilla; pour over crust.
  • Bake at 325 degrees for about 1 hour.
  • To make the berries and balsamic vinegar coulis, put the berries and sugar in a pan over low heat until the sugar is melted, add vinegar and whiskey and let simmer for about 15 minutes. Puree the berries.
  • Pour the coulis over the cheesecake after it has sat on the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  • Enjoy!
