How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350F, grease two cookie sheets.
  • In a large bowl cream shortening and sugars.
  • Add egg and vanilla, beating well.
  • Add flour, baking soda, pie spice and salt, stir in until just blended.
  • Fold in the cereal, TVP, currants and soynuts.
  • Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Cool completely on sheets.

    I'd eat them.
    You come up with some good stuff, but maybe too GOOD (I say this politely and jokingly) – Follow some of my recipes and your journey towards the Dark Side of fats, bleeding red meat, heavy creams and cholesterol shall have begun!
