- 1 Cup sourdough starter shopping list
- 1 Cup lettuce,finely chopped shopping list
- 2 1/2 Cups Whole Wheat shopping list
- 2 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon mace shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon ginger shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1 Cup honey shopping list
- 1/2 Cup safflower oil shopping list
- 1 teaspoon lemon peel,grated shopping list
- 2 Fresh Farm eggs shopping list
- 1/2 Cup milk shopping list
- 1/2 Cup walnuts,chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Measure sourdough starter into bowl.
- Mix flour,baking powder,baking soda,salt,mace,ginger,and cinnamon,set aside.
- Add honey,oil,lemon peel,eggs and milk to sourdough starter along with dry ingredients and nuts.
- Beat well after each addition.
- Stir in chopped lettuce.
- Turn into greased and floured loaf pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes or until done.
- Cool in pan about 15 minutes,then invert,remove from pan and cool on rack.
- ~ Best if stored several hours before slicing.~
