Grape Leaves Stuffed With Rice

- 5 tablespoons chopped onions shopping list
- 1 cup oil shopping list
- 2 cups water shopping list
- 1 cup brown rice shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 teaspoons kelp shopping list
- 2 teaspoons dill weed shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint shopping list
- 1 teaspoon paprika shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice shopping list
- juice of 1 lemon, shopping list
- 12 grape leaves shopping list
How to make it
- Sauté onions in oil until light brown.
- Add 1 cup water with rice, salt and kelp then mix well and cover and cook 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat then cool slightly and add remaining spices.
- Place 1 generous teaspoon of filling onto each grape leaf.
- Make one fold up from base of leaf then tuck in sides and roll up tightly.
- Place in heavy saucepan and fold down packing rolls tightly.
- Add remaining water and lemon juice then cook slowly over low heat for 10 minutes.
- Serve hot or cold.
