How to make it

  • Spray a square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray then set aside.
  • In frying pan over medium heat sauté onion in olive oil for 10 minutes.
  • Add mushrooms and marjoram then sauté until mushrooms are tender about 5 minutes more.
  • Add garlic and sauté until fragrant about 1 minute longer.
  • Cut bread into 1” cubes then arrange half of the cubes over bottom of baking pan.
  • Top with onion and mushroom mixture.
  • Combine cheddar, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses then sprinkle over mushroom mixture.
  • Top with remaining bread cubes.
  • Blend eggs, milk, mustard, salt and pepper then pour over bread and top with cheese slices.
  • Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  • Uncover and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
