Caramel Hazelnut Cake

- 225g butter shopping list
- 100g brown sugar shopping list
- 350g dulche de leche shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 100g skinned toasted coarsely chopped hazelnuts shopping list
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder shopping list
- 2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 150g icing sugar sifted shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla extract shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 170oc
- Mix the brown sugar & 175g butter together until white and fluffy.
- Gradually add the eggs
- *scrape down sides off bowl
- Add 200g dulche de leche
- Beat in hazelnuts, flour & cocoa
- Mix well
- Pour into prepared cake tin
- Beat the remaining 50g butter with the leftover 150g caramel until smooth. Add the icing sugar & vanilla.
- Once the cake is ready & cool
- Cut cake through the middle spread half of the icing in the middle sandwich the cakes together spread the other half on top
- Bake for 25 - 30 mins
