How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 170oc
  • Mix the brown sugar & 175g butter together until white and fluffy.
  • Gradually add the eggs
  • *scrape down sides off bowl
  • Add 200g dulche de leche
  • Beat in hazelnuts, flour & cocoa
  • Mix well
  • Pour into prepared cake tin
  • Beat the remaining 50g butter with the leftover 150g caramel until smooth. Add the icing sugar & vanilla.
  • Once the cake is ready & cool
  • Cut cake through the middle spread half of the icing in the middle sandwich the cakes together spread the other half on top
  • Bake for 25 - 30 mins
