How to make it

  • In a 10-12 quart stockpot, brown meat (drain if using beef)
  • add onions, celery, peppers, and garlic, cook until the onions are clear
  • Add worcestershire, sugar, tomatoes, paste, spices mix very well
  • Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat, add dried chilis or cayennes if you like it hot
  • Reduce heat to low, simmer for at least 2 hours
  • Add your beans, simmer for another hour to hour and a half, it depends on how thick you like it.

    Very nice post. Very close to my old standby but think I may try yours next time as it is only a couple of ingredients different and would like to taste the difference.
