Spaghetti Chicken Carbonara

- 1lb chicken breast, cut into tenders shopping list
- medium white onion, diced shopping list
- tomato, diced shopping list
- 6 slices of bacon, chopped shopping list
- 2 tbs olive oil shopping list
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced shopping list
- 1/4 cup of fresh parsley, chopped shopping list
- 1 tsp of basil shopping list
- 1 pint of heavy whipping cream shopping list
- 1/2 c. milk shopping list
- 4 egg yolks shopping list
- 8 oz of grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- 1 pkg spaghetti shopping list
- salt shopping list
- pepper shopping list
- itailan seasonings (mccormick grinders) shopping list
How to make it
- Heat a large skillet over med-high heat with olive oil
- Add bacon and garlic, saute until golden and drain on paper towel
- Reserve two tablespoons of bacon fat and add chicken, saute until browned, turn heat to low
- Meanwhile bring salted water to boil and cook pasta according to package
- In a separate bowl mix cream, milk, parsley, basil, some Italian seasonings, salt, pepper,egg yolks, cheese and mix well
- Drain pasta and add to chicken and toss in bacon and cream.
- Toss for about four minutes, making sure you do not let it boil, eggs will become scrambled... big no no.
- Finish with diced tomato for color.
- Top with fresh parsley and pepper flakes and enjoy.
- (tip: you can add fresh mushrooms)
