mac and CHEESE

- 1 1/2 c. macaroni noodles shopping list
- 1 small yellow onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 1/4 c. butter shopping list
- 1/4 c. flour shopping list
- 1 3/4 c. milk shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 5 oz. american or Velveeta cheese, cubed shopping list
- 5 oz. swiss cheese, shredded shopping list
- 2/3 c. fine bread crumbs shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375
- Cook macaroni, drain, set aside in a 2 qt. casserole dish
- saute onion in the butter, salt and pepper
- stir in flour, cook over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth and bubbly
- remove from heat, stir in milk, return to burner
- heat to a boil(not a hard boil), stirring constantly
- boil and stir for 1 minute
- remove from heat, add cheeses, stir until completely melted
- Pour into macaroni dish, mix well
- top with the bread crumbs
- bake uncovered for 30 min.
