How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 325F, line several baking sheets with parchment paper - do not grease.
  • Whisk together the flours, nutmeg, baking soda and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat butter and sugars until well blended.
  • Add vanilla, egg and yolk, beating well.
  • Add the flour mixture all at once and mix until blended.
  • Fold in all the chocolate.
  • Space cookies at least 3" apart on sheets, they do spread a bit.
  • Bake 15-16 minutes.
  • Cool on sheets for at least 30 minutes before moving.
