Asparagus and Beef Penne with a tangy cream sauce

- 4 cups of penne pasta shopping list
- 1 lb ground beef shopping list
- 1/2 onion, chopped shopping list
- 10 asparagus spears, chopped shopping list
- 1/4 lb button mushroom, sliced shopping list
- a pinch of salt and pepper shopping list
- 2 tsp canola oil shopping list
- grated cheddar cheese for garnish shopping list
- Sauce; shopping list
- 1 cup low sodium beef broth shopping list
- 1/4 cup dry white wine shopping list
- 1tbsp worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 tbsp soy sauce shopping list
- 3/4 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1 tbsp corn starch shopping list
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme shopping list
- pinch salt and pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Cook pasta
- fry ground beef (seasoned with salt and pepper)in a pan until cooked through, drain liquid
- In a separate pan, cook asparagus, mushrooms and onions in the canola oil until soft
- Sauce:
- Put all the ingredients (except sour cream) in a sauce pan
- Bring to a boil on med/high heat
- Lower heat and add the sour cream
- simmer for about 5 minutes (stirring) until all ingredients mix well and become a thicker consistency
- mix the sauce with all the other ingredients top dish with some cheddar cheese and enjoy!!
