How to make it

  • Combine flour, shortening, and salt into large mixing bowl
  • Mix using hands, adding milk in small amounts
  • Continue mixing until all flour is mixed into dough ball
  • On floured surface knead dough 3-4 times
  • Pinch off small dough balls so that you have 9 equal size balls
  • Roll small balls in hand to form spheres
  • Place spheres spaced evenly apart on lightly greased pan
  • Brush melted butter on each
  • Bake at 425 F for 15-18 mins (bake time may vary)
