How to make it

  • In an electric mixer,beat egg whites till foamy. Add cream of tarter and continue beating till stiff. Add the sugar,a Tbs at a time,as you continue beating the whites. Add salt and vanilla.
  • Spread mixture into well greased 9" baking pan and place in a preheated 450 degree oven and immediately turn oven off.
  • Leave the cake in overnight or at least till oven has completely cooled down.
  • Remove from pan and serve with ice cream,berries and/or whipped cream.
