Smoky Spicy Barbecue sauce

I started out following two different cookbook recipes for barbecue sauce when I was married over 20 years ago. After years of tweaking, I've finally gotten the recipe that works for me - and it's nothing at all like the originals! Ingredients
- 1 cup catsup shopping list
- 1/3 cup water shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder shopping list
- 1 TBSP. smoked paprika shopping list
- 2 TBSP. packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. pepper shopping list
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper shopping list
- 2 TBSP. worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 2 TBSP. lemon juice shopping list
How to make it
- Combine first ten ingredients in a small (1 qt.) sauce pan. Heat to just boiling over medium heat. Whisk in lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce. Heat until hot.
