Spiced Orange Chicken

- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts shopping list
- 1/4 c. flour shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. pepper shopping list
- 1 tblsp. canola oil shopping list
- 1 tblsp. butter shopping list
- 3/4 c. orange juice shopping list
- 1 tblsp. brown sugar shopping list
- 1 tbslp. soy sauce shopping list
- 1 11 oz. can mandarin oranges shopping list
- hot cooked rice shopping list
How to make it
- Pound chicken to 1/2 in. thickness.
- In a large resealable bag, combine, flour, salt, cinnamon, cloves, and pepper
- Add chicken, one piece at a time, and shake to coat
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook chicken in oil and butter, 6-8 minutes each side, or until juices run clear, remove from skillet, keep warm
- In a small bowl, combine the orange juice, brown sugar, and soy sauce, pour into skillet, scraping up the bits that may be stuck to the bottom of the pan, bring to a boil
- Reduce heat, simmer about 5 min.
- Add oranges, heat through
- Serve chicken with rice and orange sauce.
