Parmesan Potato Gratin Recipe
This is very tasty. Full of great herbs and a nice tastey potato dish full of cheese. Yummy

Ingredients
  • 4 large russet potatoes peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 large clove garlic finely chopped
  • 6 tablespoons freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1-1/2 cups chicken stock

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Lightly grease oval gratin dish and arrange a layer of potatoes on bottom.
  3. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, 1/3 garlic and 2 tablespoons cheese.
  4. Repeat twice more and pour over stock.
  5. Bake 45 minutes stirring potato mixture every 20 minutes or so or until potatoes are tender.
  6. Place under broiler for 4 minutes or until top becomes golden brown.

My husband isn't a huge garlic fan. If I were to use garlic powder, how much would anyone guess I should add to give it taste, but not overpower?


I would think 1/4 teaspoon would be just about right.

Sounds good, but did I miss something? You mentioned it is full of herbs, but I don't see them listed. Is this post correct or did you inadvertently leave something out? Thanks!
