Dill Pickle Meatloaf Recipe
This is one of my favorite meatloafs. The combination of pork, beef, tabasco, onion and dill makes it stand above the rest. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound sausage
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
  • 1 egg well beaten
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup dill pickle juice
  • 1 cup chopped dill pickle
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup catsup
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 drops Tabasco sauce

Directions
  1. Combine beef, sausage, onion, bread crumbs, egg, salt, pepper, pickle juice and 1/2 of pickles.
  2. Shape into loaf and place in a roasting pan.
  3. Mix remaining 1/2 cup pickles, water, Worcestershire sauce, catsup, sugar and Tabasco sauce.
  4. Mix well and pour over meat loaf then place in preheated 375 oven and bake 30 minutes.
  5. Baste often with sauce.
  6. When brown turn oven down to 325 and bake for another 45 minutes.
  7. Serve hot with remaining sauce.
