Caramel Pecan Pound Cake

- 1 cup butter, softened (no substitutions) shopping list
- 2 1/4 cups packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 5 eggs shopping list
- 3 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 3 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 small box instant vanilla pudding shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans shopping list
- confectioners sugar shopping list
How to make it
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter
- Gradually beat in sugars until light and fluffy
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each
- Stir in vanilla
- Combine the flour, baking powder,salt and pudding mix
- Add to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk
- Beat on low speed just until blended
- Fold in pecans
- Pour into a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan
- Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean
- Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to cool completely
- Dust with powdered sugar
