How to make it

  • Combine cream cheese, onion, bell pepper, pimiento, salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Whisk together egg, vinegar and sugar in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. Whisk until thickened. Pour into cream cheese mixture and beat on low speed just until blended. Refrigerate dip at least 3 hours before serving. Serve with crudites, crackers, etc.
  • Makes about 2 1/2 cups dip.
