Spilsbury Pie

- 12oz flaky pastry shopping list
- 1lb sausage meat shopping list
- 1 cup firmly packed grated raw potato shopping list
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped shopping list
- tsp dry mustard shopping list
- 3 hard boiled eggs, shelled shopping list
How to make it
- Roll pastry on a lightly floured board into a rectangle measuring 12 x 14 inches.
- Place the sausage meat in a bowl, add potato, onion and mustard. Blend thoroughly.
- Arrange half the sausage mixture on the pastry in a rectangle measuring 7 x 4 inches.
- Place the shelled eggs in a row along the center of the sausage mixture. Press the remaining sausage mixture over the eggs, moulding it around them and making a block.
- Damp the edges of the pastry wrap in around the block of sausage, trimming the ends of the pastry a little, so it's not too thick. Press the joins firmly.
- Place the pie, join side down on a baking tray. Make some slashes in the top.
- Bake at 200 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes. Cool then refrigerate for the next day.
