From lynnthomas 15 years agoIngredients
- Ingredients shopping list
- 1 pound fresh or frozen fish fillets shopping list
- 1/4 cup orange juice shopping list
- 1 tablespoons catsup shopping list
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil shopping list
- [I use about 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil too] shopping list
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted shopping list
How to make it
- Directions
- Thaw fish, if frozen. Separate fillets or cut into 4 serving-size portions. In bowl combine orange juice, catsup, cooking oil [& sesame oil], soy sauce, lemon juice, and pepper. Pour mixture over fillets in a shallow dish. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours. Drain fish, reserving marinade. Place fillets in greased shallow baking pan. Broil fish 4 inches from the heat until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. (Allow 5 minutes for each 1/2 inch of thickness) Baste occasionally with marinade. If more than 1 inch thick, turn fish when half done. Brush again with marinade; sprinkle with sesame seeds. Makes 4 servings.
- Note: this marinade/basting sauce is great to use on shrimp too.
