Irish Whiskey Cake

- 1 box spice cake mix shopping list
- 1 large package vanilla pudding shopping list
- 3/4 cups milk shopping list
- 1/2 cup oil shopping list
- 3/4 cups Irish whiskey shopping list
- 4 large eggs shopping list
- 1/3 cup chopped walnuts shopping list
- glaze shopping list
- 1 stick butter shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon water shopping list
- 2 teaspoons whiskey shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 300
- Blend cake mix and pudding mix in a large bowl
- In a separate bowl, blend milk, oil and whiskey, then add to dry ingredients
- Mix for 2 minutes by hand, make sure to scrape the sides of the bowl
- Pour into a lightly greased tube pan
- Sprinkle with walnuts
- Bake approximately 1 1/2 hours, until lightly browned on top
- Remove from oven and leave it in the pan
- In a saucepan, heat butter until melted
- Add sugar, water and whiskey, stir
- Lightly boil for 10 minutes, then remove from heat and cool for 3 minutes
- Pour over cake while it is still in the pan
- Let cool for 1 hour, then remove from the pan right side up, and place on a cake plate
- Best results if left overnight
