Tangy Smothered Round Steak

- 1 TBSP. extra-virgin olive oil, (divided) shopping list
- 12 oz.round steak, cut into 4 equal pieces shopping list
- 3/4 cup thinly sliced onions shopping list
- 1 TBSP. steak sauce shopping list
- 1 TBSP.tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 1 tsp. beef boullon granules shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. sugar shopping list
How to make it
- In medium skillet over medium-high heat, heat 2 tsp. oil
- until hot. Add round steak. Cook 2 minutes,turn. Cook 1 minute
- more & set aside on plate. Reduce heat to medium. Add onions
- to skillet. Cook 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Add remaining
- ingredients. Whisk until well blended
- Return steak & accumlated juices to skillet
- Spoon some sauce over steak
- Bring to boil. Reduce heat. Cover & simmer
- 1 hr. 10 minutes or until steak is tender, turning steak occasionally
