New Orleans Praline Brownies

Yummy praline brownies that start with a brownie mix.
Ingredients
- 1 box fudge brownie mix(1lb 2.3 oz) shopping list
- water veg. oil and eggs called for in brownie mix shopping list
- 1/2 c chopped pecans shopping list
- Praline Frosting: shopping list
- 1/2 c whipping cream shopping list
- 6 Tbs butter shopping list
- 1-1/2 c packed brown sugar1/8 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 c chopped pecans,toasted shopping list
- 1-1/2 c powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray bottom only of 13x9' pan with spray.
- Make brownie mix as directed on box. Stir in chopped pecans Bake as directed. Cool completely,about 1 hour
- In med. saucepan,mix cream,butter,brown sugar, and salt. Cook over med heat,stirring frequently,till mixture comes to a boil. Continue cooking 1 min,stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in pecans,powdered sugar and vanilla. Cool 5 mins.,stirring frequently.
- Spread frosting over brownies. Allow to stand 30-45 mins or till frosting is set. For bars,cut in 6 rows by 4 rows.

Oh my heavens! So good! I was playing with a similar recipe that also added coconut. Yum to me, but I know that would ruin it for others!
