How to make it

  • Mix hamburger, crumbs, eggs and milk with electric mixer. Pat on a cookie sheet 1/2 inch thick; flatten; cover with wax paper. Refrigerate overnight. Season with salt and pepper. Cut in 4 x 4 inch squares. Dredge with flour. Brown. Put in baking pan. Cover with undiluted mushroom soup. Sprinkle with dry onion soup mix over all. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • Variations: Mix onion soup and mushroom soup or undiluted tomato soup. Add green peppers and onion slices. Serve over rice.
