- Ingredients shopping list
- 1 tablespoon olive oil shopping list
- 1 tablespoon lime juice shopping list
- 2 large ripe avocados, halved, seeded, and peeled shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 cup bottled picante sauce shopping list
- 1 ounce Monterey Jack, shredded or crumbled (1/4 cup) shopping list
- Snipped fresh cilantro shopping list
- salad greens (optional) shopping list
- Bottled picante sauce (optional) shopping list
- Dairy sour cream (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Directions
- 1. Stir together olive oil and lime juice. Brush avocados all over with olive oil mixture. Sprinkle cut sides of avocados with salt.
- 2. Fill avocados with 1 tablespoon of picante sauce and top with cheese. Wrap avocados in foil. Put avocados on grill with filled part facing up. Cook for about 5 minutes.
- 3. Remove avocados from grill. Sprinkle tops of avocado halves with snipped cilantro. If desired, serve on a bed of salad greens with additional picante sauce and sour cream. Makes 4 servings.
