Beef And Broccoli (or Chicken)

- 1/2 C. Soy Sauce shopping list
- 2 T. Lemon Juice shopping list
- 1 T. Corn Starch shopping list
- 1 T. Brown Sugar shopping list
- 1 Clove Garlic, minced shopping list
- 2 t. ground ginger shopping list
- 1 t. Black Pepper shopping list
- 2 T. Vegetable Oil, divided shopping list
- 2 Lb. Top Sirloin, sliced thin- Or 4 Large Chicken Breasts, sliced thin shopping list
- 1 Medium Onion, thinly sliced shopping list
- 3 Medium heads broccoli (4-5 Cups) shopping list
- 4 Cups Cooked Long Grain Rice shopping list
How to make it
- In small bowl, combine soy sauce, lemon juice, cornstarch, brown sugar, garlic, pepper, and ginger. Set aside.
- Heat 1 T. oil in large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. add beef or chicken and stir-fry until almost cooked through. (About 3 minutes) Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm.
- Hear remaining oil in skillet. Add onion and stir-fry for 5 minutes. Cut broccoli into florets- should be about 4-5 cups, and add to skillet with 1/2 cup water. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Return beef or chicken to skillet and add soy sauce mixture. Bring to a boil constantly stirring, for about 3 minutes until sauce thickens. Serve hot over rice.
