How to make it

  • In small bowl, combine soy sauce, lemon juice, cornstarch, brown sugar, garlic, pepper, and ginger. Set aside.
  • Heat 1 T. oil in large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. add beef or chicken and stir-fry until almost cooked through. (About 3 minutes) Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm.
  • Hear remaining oil in skillet. Add onion and stir-fry for 5 minutes. Cut broccoli into florets- should be about 4-5 cups, and add to skillet with 1/2 cup water. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Return beef or chicken to skillet and add soy sauce mixture. Bring to a boil constantly stirring, for about 3 minutes until sauce thickens. Serve hot over rice.
