Spiced Panko-crusted Pork Chops

- 1/4 c flour shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2 Tbs hoisin sauce shopping list
- 2 c panko shopping list
- 2 tsp five spice powder shopping list
- 3/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 3/4 tsp pepper shopping list
- 6 boneless,pork loin chops(1/2" thick) shopping list
- 4 Tbs vegetable oil,dividrd shopping list
How to make it
- Place flour on large plate. Beat eggs and hoisin sauce in shallow dish till blended. Combine panko,five spice powder,salt and pepper in large shallow dish.
- Dip both sides of pork chops in in flour mixture to lightly coat;dip in egg mixture. Dip in panko mixture to cover completely;dip again in egg mixture. Dip again in panko mixture. Place on waxed paper.
- Heat 2 Tbs oil in large skillet over med-high heat till hot. Cook chops in batches 6 to 8 mind or till crust is rich golden brown and pork is no longer oink in center.,turning once and adding additional oil as necessary.

I had reservations about adding the 5 spice powder to the crumbs. And I should of followed my gut! There's cinnamon in 5 spice powder, and that has a tendency to scorch or burn when heated directly or cooked at high temps. Also, it reminded me more o...more
