I had reservations about adding the 5 spice powder to the crumbs. And I should of followed my gut! There's cinnamon in 5 spice powder, and that has a tendency to scorch or burn when heated directly or cooked at high temps. Also, it reminded me more of French toast while cooking, because of the eggs, and I couldn't get past it! I think this recipe would have been FAR better if the 5 spice was added to the pork so it flavored the meat instead!
*So I highly recommend adding some 5 spice powder to the meat instead of the bread crumbs!
